Irish dancing in Gibbstown Hall cancelled for Sat 3rd

Hi Folks, just to confirm that Sunday Night Bingo in Gibbstown Hall will not go ahead this coming Sunday 4th March due to the expected weather conditions. Hope all our patrons are safe during this period of harsh weather.

Gibbstown Hall Committee are delighted to announce that Pilates Classes have commenced in Gibbstown Hall this morning and will continue each Mon and Friday morning over next 5 weeks. Classes are presented by Bronagh Mallon who brings a vibrancy and energy to the sessions that makes them enjoyable and interesting for all. Contact details on attached flyer.

It is with deep saddness that we heard this evening of the passing of our very special friend and neighbour, Anthony Diamond. Anthony was indeed very special and loved by all who ever had the pleasure of meeting him. He attended all of our Drive-In Bingo sessions and was always positioned directly in front of the stage. From there he kept a sharp eye on all that went on and if John was to make a mistake, Anthony let him know. We considered him to be our gaffer. We will never forget the October Drive-In in 2014 when we did the bucket challenge for Motor-Neuron. Anthony took great pleasure in throwing the bucket of cold water over John, as can be seen by the expression on his face in the picture. Anthony touched the lives and hearts of all who ever had the pleasure of meeting him. A man with a big smile and a very warm heart. To all his family and so many friends we send our deepest sympathies.

This is Molly's 40th year teaching Irish dancing in Rathkenny Hall. There's a celebration this Sunday 15th October 2017 from 4pm-7pm. Tag a past pupil and share please.

Well folks that is it for 2017. Our last session of Gibbstown Drive In Bingo was held last Sunday, 1st October. The weather stayed kind to us with a light drizzle earlier in the day and just some strong breezes during our bingo. The field surface was fairly wet as people entered but did improve during the afternoon. A very sincere thanks to all who attended on Sunday and indeed to all that attended any or all of our sessions this year. Thanks again for the patience shown when parking and exiting the field. Your cooperation with the stewards was and is greatly appreciated and facilitated an orderly but more importantly safe afternoon. Congrats to the lucky lady from Longford who won our top prize of €4,000.00, her delight resounded around the field. The session was a super one with another fantastic payout totalling €13,100.00 on the day, bringing our total payout for our 2017 five sessions to a massive €66,335.00, yes folks you read it correctly, €66,335.00. Our dates for 2018 will be:- Bank Hol. Mon. 7th May; Bank Hol. Mon 4th June; Bank Hol Mon. 6th Aug.; Sun. 2nd September and Sunday 7th October. Gibbstown Drive In Bingo, the original and still the best.

There is Irish dancing in Gibbstown Hall every Saturday morning from 10am-11:30am for children ages 4 and up. It is taught by the Mollie Farrelly of the renowned Farrelly School. All dancers welcome.

Last formal night for a great cause

Another great session of Gibbstown Drive-In Bingo with the weather being very kind to us. We paid out a whopping €13,625 today, yes folks €13,625, with the €4,000 going to a lucky punter from Meath. A sincere thanks to all our patrons. We really do appreciate the way you obeyed all instructions given by our stewards which resulted in a smooth and safe access and egress. We are back again on Sunday 1st October for our last session for 2017.
