We're famous!!!!! So happy hookers have made the local paper!! We've spent quite a bit of time recently crocheting octopus which are then given to premie babies as a form of comfort. The idea was initially brought to Ireland by Magdalena Bekisz of Octopus for preemie ROI and Northern Ireland who worked very hard contacting hospitals all over the country to explain the idea to them. The octopus are crochet/knit by volunteers all over the country and are then sent to Magdalena and her colleagues for inspection, washing, packing and then sent to hospitals and parents all over the country. The criteria is very strict in order to ensure the safety of baby. Details below if you would like to get involved. Happy hookers made over 50 of these octopus for this very worthy cause and were very happy to be able to give them to Magdalena in person. Really busy week this week, thank you to all my lovely ladies in my sewing class which we wrapped up on Monday for this term. We'll be back again in September. Thank you to all my lovely ladies in Edenderry who made laods of items from family trees, easter eggs, decoupage, glass decoupage and jewellery making also with beautiful swarovski crystals. Thank you for having me and hope to see you again at Christmas. Happy Hookers crochet class on tonight and every Thursday night as normal 7-9pm €8payg and I believe we're in the local paper for all the octopus we made for premie babies. Ill post a pic once i get my mits on it. Tester items are currently being painted and pictures will be posted over the next week or two. Very excited about these products. Xx
