Historian, writer and author. Worked for 20 years as a news reported for regional and national media. I am a passionate photographer. I worked for 20 years as a news reporter for local, regional and national media, including for a brief period, RTE. Discovered my interest in history during those years when, as it happens, the seeds of my interest in photography were also sown.

I was granted a Master of Arts Degree in History by the National University of Ireland (UCC) in 1999. I have several other diplomas, distinctions and certificates in specialist fields including archaeology and photography.

My published books include 'White Knights, Dark Earls, the Rise and Fall of an Anglo-Irish Dynasty,' 'Another Side of Mitchelstown,' 'Fermoy on the Blackwater,' 'Evensong, the Story of a Church of Ireland Country Parish,' and 'Images of Mitchelstown'. I have edited several books including 'Dromin, History and Traditions' and 'Bridging the Years, Country Life Around Knockainey.'

I have three books in the pipeline, two of which will be published in 2014.
