CANTATE SING BY CANDLELIGHT FOR PIETA HOUSE Cantate, mixed voice choir, will host a magical Candlelight Christmas Concert in aid of Pieta House next Friday, December 1st 2017 in Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown. The concert gets underway at 7.30 p.m., tickets priced at €10 and are available locally from Hazelhurst Gallery, Napoli and Scoil Barra Naofa, as well as from choir members and on the door. Cantate will be directed by their award-winning conductor, Elaine Kelly, and accompanied by the very talented Conor Palliser. The concert will also feature performances from Our Big Little Choir, Sacred Heart Church Choir, Scoil Barra Naofa School Choir and Monkstown Chamber Choir. Speaking about the concert, Cantate PRO, Toni Forde, said: "We are looking forward to what promises to be a very special night in aid of a very special cause, close to so many people's hearts. Pieta House do amazing work and we are thrilled to once again lend our support. You could say that our Candlelight Christmas is a choral interpretation of Darkness into Light, which is synonymous with them." The programme for the evening will consist of a varied repertoire of seasonal favourites, to suit all ages. Concert begins at 7.30 p.m. and should conclude by 9 p.m. to ensure younger audience members will be home in time for the Late Late Toy Show!

Pieta House Cork, would to give a massive Thank You to Denis and the Whitechurch Foroige Club for their very generous donation of €300. Denis has been running a Tuc Shop every Friday for the last 3 years at the Foroige Club meetings and has successfully made a profit every year and donated his profits to various charity's. This year Denis chose Pieta House as his charity. On Friday last, Denis and the Whitechurch Foroige Club invited Darran from Pieta House in Cork to be presented with the cheque and to say a few words to the group.
