*** Soccer Tournament *** Thanks to our LCA2s for organising a fun soccer tournament for our First Years! While the spirit of friendly competition prevailed the offer of gold and silver medals made things interesting for sure!

*** #SID2018 Youth Ambassador Training *** A big day during the week for First Year student Abi Dowling as she participated in the Safer Internet Day Youth Ambassador Training Programme at Facebook HQ in Dublin. Organised by Webwise Ireland and the Irish Second-Level Students' Union - ISSU the programme gave the specially selected students the skills, knowledge and resources to lead safer internet initiatives and campaigns within their own schools and communities for Safer Internet Day on the 6th February 2018. We look forward to working with Abi on a great schedule of events to celebrate the day!

The school community of Ardscoil Mhuire, in association with the Fundraising Events Group, and sponsored by KBC Bank Ireland, is proud to present our own version of the popular television series known as the Kube! The Kube will be an unmissable and fun event with teachers, students, parents, past pupils and well known Limerick personalities competing to win the prize fund of €1,000… and their honour! The event will be held on Friday the 9th of February in Thomond Park, a venue that can hold up to 600 enthusiastic spectators! We are expecting to meet that capacity quickly, so get your tickets fast! This initiative is part of a wider school fundraising effort to raise funds for our new school development. Ticket Information: Tickets will be available from Ardscoil Mhuire’s office from Monday the 15th of January. Please note that student tickets are available in limited numbers (150) and are only available to our own students. Students: €15 Adults: €20 Doors open at 7:15pm, with the event starting at 8pm.

*** Clubs/Sports/Activities *** Students eager to get back into the swing of things this week should note that Debating Club, Knitting Club, Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, and Drama Club are all confirmed to return as normal! Camogie and Circuit Training will not take place this week. All other clubs/sports/activities should be confirmed with the organising teacher during the week!
