The birth of Century originated from the successful family run business that is Century Cinemas an environment triumphant in bringing stories to life on the big screen in Letterkenny for over 75 years.
As the town of Letterkenny grew, and along with the rapid development in the Digital Cinema experience, Century Cinemas took the decision to expand. On 12 July 2001 the doors opened at its new premises at Leck View Lane, Letterkenny, and the Century vision of bringing customers a more exciting and invigorating cinematic experience was complete. The move brought exciting changes with 8 new screens, stadium seating, American rocker seating all with 2D/3D digital cinema projectors and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
Following this success, in 2013, Century Ice, an ideal place for a family fun day out, school tours or corporate events, was added to the Century family.
Since then, the company has developed from strength to strength, and recently launched the Backstage Bar & Grill and Century Play in November, 2016.
Backstage Bar & Grill a fresh concept creating a space for customers to relax, wine and dine with friends whilst indulging in our sumptuous locally sourced menu choices. Alternatively, unwinding over a delicious meal whilst the children experience a wide range of play facilities on offer at Century Play.
Century Play facilities have been designed with all of the family in mind to ensure maximum fun and excitement. With a Junior area, Toddler area, Baby area and Sports areas, all under the one roof, not forgetting the Arcade area
