Healthfood cafe serving nutrient rich food - breakfast, lunch desserts,teas/coffees, Sit in/takeaway. Juice Cleanse Consisting of 3,5, & 7 Day Options.

At Wholegreen we believe in real plant based food, food that nourishes you and gives you all the building blocks for a healthy body.
Back in 2014 we started growing our own vegetables in the back garden; we started juicing for our family, then friends and then decided to try a local country market in Ramelton, Co. Donegal.  As our name grew and so did our customers for real cold pressed juices we entered one of our juice into Blas na hEireann and we came third winning a bronze medal in nationals.  This gave us the belief that we had a product and we decided to start thinking bigger.
We always wanted a Vegan deli, somewhere that offered real choice to people who didn’t want to eat meat but also somewhere to showcase how varied and nourishing a plant based diet can be.
SO….. In December 2015 we took the plunge and opened Wholegreen healthfood. It is a vegan wholefood deli. All our food is made daily on the premises using only high quality ingredients. At Wholegreen we do our best to serve you healthy food using whole, seasonal and superfood ingredients. We don’t use numbers and we cook from the heart. There is something for everyone, from Breakfast, Hot Lunches, Treats, Salads, Snacks, Smoothies, Juices to Teas and Coffees. We even have a small retail space selling a lot of the products that we use in store so that you can try at home.

We also offer one hot meat dish each day along with our normal menu, as we all have one of those friends
And just in case you thought we had forgot about our roots, we still do our cleanse programs and offer a variety of menu options. From 1 day to 7 days, Full green or a rainbow of vegetable and fruit juices. We offer different size bottles and price points to suit the seasoned professional juicer to the first timer looking to see what all the talk is about.
So why not call in to us on church lane in Letterkenny, we are open Monday to Saturday 8.30am till 6.00 pm.
Take care and thanks for reading.
Anna and the Green Team.

We figured we'd make a soup out of every green veg in the cafe today, want to see what it tastes like, pop in tomorrow... We love greens cause they are very rich in minerals and some of the most essential nutrients: calcium, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B, C, E, and K are found in green foods and are all vital to your body's health. – Greens contain many nutrients that help protect the immune system and fight off viruses and bacteria, and it's my favourite colour 💚 you'd never had guessed😉

How many pretty colourful beans does it take to feed you hungry protein monters for 3 days and why do we soak them? Soaking overnight removes anti-nutrients, such as phytic acid, lectins, and enzyme inhibitors that can cause gas, heartburn, reflux and other digestive ills. Traditional cultures took great care to prepare their legumes with a long soak before cooking to enhance digestibility and maximise nutrient absorption. Tomorrow all these will be dinners, brownies and protein bars, busy day ahead then😲
