I popped in to We Do Art in Derry yesterday, as I was looking for some huge mirrors. I had forgotten what a delight this shop is. I actually bought the top mirror to the left , and I will be back for two bigger custom made mirrors. Thank you Denise & Paul, if I were to travel from here to Cork, I couldn't find a better selection! 😀

Now I know that you are all going to say " I couldn't possibly have white sofas in my house with the kids and the dogs! " Let me tell you that when my three boys were small. we had a white sofa in our family room. It had pre - shrunk , removable, machine washable covers. It was in and out of the washing machine as needed. I would dry it a little, and then put it back on the frame while it was still slightly damp. This was without doubt the best furniture investment we ever made. Even when red wine was spilled on it, all we had to do was apply some Ace bleach, and throw it into the wash! Ours was custom made to fit the room, but IKEA Ireland even has one, so you don't have to break the bank here! Also, with advances in technology and water cleanable fabrics like Aqua Clean, you can easily choose a lighter colour fabric, and know it's going to keep on looking amazing! So, my question for Sunday is. Would you buy a white sofa?

Showhouse is Back!! This is going to make for some terrific television. Do you remember Showhouse on RTE, where two designers took 6 days to design identical houses, and then on day 7 the public came, and voted for their favourite? I took part in series two, loved every second, and am so happy to say that I won strongly. Well VIP, the original production company, have produced Showhouse Showdown for TV3. Neville Knott & Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen are jointly hosting it, which will make for great TV in itself. I am so disappointed to say that I only found out about it a few days ago, and was way to late to apply. The designers have long been selected, and filming has already begun. Do watch out for it on TV3 this autumn, it is going to be fabulous, and guess who will definitely be applying to take part in Series Two? 😂
