I have been in Venice for the last week and I am posting from the airport. I was very pleased to find that my Bass Rock image was awarded 3rd Place in the Professional Fine Art category in the Monochrome Photography Awards. Thanks to Paul Byrne for letting me know and congrats to all the winners this year..

Bastoni Not your typical Tuscany scene, but I was having a frustrating time shooting landscapes in the clear blue skys, I popped over to this lake just to get the camera out and make some compositions. La Dolce Vita. I hope you are all well and have been enjoying this exciting weather. I have been travelling in Italy recently ,leading a workshop in Venice and then some days to myself on Lake Garda. Both were great fun and lots of images were made. This was the last image I made. Taken after sunset, no filters just pure misty conditions. I have had a feature in Onlandscape magazine which can be read here. https://www.onlandscape.co.uk/2016/11/rohan-reilly-featured-photographer/ It was lovely to work with them, with some good questions and a very nicely laid out piece. I have also been selected by Silvershots for their End of year book, with some 15 images included " selected from the top 15 photographers from the 140 contemporary art photographers published in the last 18 online magazines. A stunning coffee table hard cover book which is book bound with silver foil on the cover. 160 pages printed on 175gsm premium silk paper. Some of the best photography folios from around the world". It sounds like a great publication and I can't wait to get my hands on the final piece. I cross this bridge on my way to the gallery and back everyday. It was time to try and get an image of it and the mist was perfect on Tuesday. There is a little more colour in the printed version but Facebook didn't like it, so I had to reduce the palette a little bit more :) www.rohanreilly.com/workshops
