Mindfulness Evening Date: Monday 21st November Time:8.00pm to 9.30pm Venue:Satmya Killaloe Cost : Donation The theme of letting go is with me this month. How easy it is to say but not always that easy to allow. We can complicate letting go ; making it into a big mental effort , an act of doing or we can judge and criticize ourselves for not letting go. Mindfulness can help us to practice letting go one breath at a time, taking it gently , no forcing; it doesn't have to be a momentous act. When we let go of trying hard to work things out clarity can arise in the space of non doing. “She Let Go” by Rev. Safire Rose She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go. She let go of the fear. She let go of the judgments. She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head. She let go of the committee of indecision within her. She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go. She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go. She didn’t search the scriptures. She just let go. She let go of all of the memories that held her back. She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward. She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right. She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it. She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer. She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper. She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go. She didn’t analyze whether she should let go. She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter. She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment. She didn’t call the prayer line. She didn’t utter one word. She just let go. No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go. There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that. In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.

NEW STARTING DATE FOR 8 WEEK MINDFULNESS COURSE THURSDAY OCT 13TH it is not always easy to relax with events in life as they shift and change and don't always go the way we want them to! I am been challenged to go with the flow of life events at present, to move with the changes and trust life as it unfolds. Life is the teacher. Mindfulness practices can help us to meet this ever changing nature of life with acceptance and kindness. There is still an opportunity to take part in the 8 week Mindfulness Course as the starting date has been put forward to Thursday 13th October 2016. Please see link below for more details https://innerlandscapes.ie/news-and-events/
This school replaced detention with meditation. The results are stunning.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” ― Carl R. Rogers, A Way of Being We can spend a lot of our life energy wishing our lives were different , wishing we were somehow different; less stressed , more fit, healthy, more successful. We can be endlessly striving to get somewhere in order for us to feel happy. What if we were to stop all this effort at self improvement and begin to take time to really notice our life as it enfolds Mindfulness practices can begin to train our minds and heart in the way of being more open, curious and compassionate towards ourselves.Mindfulness can help us to meet difficulty in the present moment in a gentle way and to uncover and meet the joy in our life. To meet the life force beneath the stress and pain, that is always flowing as long as we are breathing. 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course starting Thursday 29th September for more details see https://innerlandscapes.ie/news-and-events/
