We are a company of independent motor engineers with over 40 years’ experience in the motor industry. We are a company of independent motor engineers with over 40 years’ experience in the motor industry. We specialize in the mechanical running of motor vehicles, which includes the emissions, fuel system and drive train of both passenger and light commercial vehicles.
Owing to the Volkswagen emissions scandal,l the biggest scandal ever to hit the motor industry, we have been contacted by a vast number of vehicle owners who are concerned with the situation they now find themselves in.

We have also been contacted by solicitors, acting on behalf of their clients, who are seeking technical advice and advice on how the recall, which is forecasted for early 2016,  will affect their clients vehicles in the future.
Volkswagen, at this point in time, have not announced a definite fix for their emission problem or what measures they intend to undertake in order to remedy the situation.
We understand that the mapping or software programming in the Diesel engine control units, on some Volkswagen vehicles, is incorrect and that a cloaking program was put in place in order to conceal the true emission data while the vehicle is under test.
While if it was just a matter of remapping or reprogramming the engine control unit software, then why is there such a delay by Volkswagen in announcing what measures that they intend under taking in the recall campaign. This delay leads us to ask the question, is this more than just a simple remapping or reprogramming of the engine control units or are there other units in the emission system affected, such as the catalyst converter and dust particulate filter.
