If you have little ones in your life who haven't yet booked summer camps look no further.. Two beautiful yoginis Fiona Brown and Lisa Berry with wealth of experience and knowledge between them will be conducting very special camps in Galway. Their unique brand of children's yoga has been cultivated from Fionas knowledge gained through early childhood education and 5 years experience teaching Yoga to hundreds of children in schools around Galway. Passionate about learning and inspired by their travels, Fiona and Lisa will encourage inquiry and the creative use of imagination to inspire young minds whilst at play through yoga and art. They are running 3 camps in two locations, one in Oranmore and two at the Claddagh. You might like to spread the word to your families, friends and colleagues as there is an early bird rate and spaces are limited. Classes are designed to get children moving in a happy, healthy and safe way. Class aims are to build mental, emotional and physical well-being, all of which lay the foundation for a lifetime of good health: FUN EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERING CREATIVITY BOOSTING RESPECT There will be an emphasis on the Environment, our Planet and Food: healthy eating, where food comes from and seasonality. Space and environment are important and we have secured a wonderful space in Oranmore with lots of natural light and ample parking making drop off and collection easy. Fr Griffin Hall in the Claddagh will offer us space for outdoor activities and was chosen for its easy access for drop off and collection. Camps will run from 9.30am - 12.30pm but there's an option for an earlier drop off time of 9am and a later collection time of 1pm, this will incur an (affordable) additional cost.
We hope to see all levels and ages on Grattan beach this Saturday at 2pm. We will provide mats but bring your own if you have one. Don't forget water and sunscreen 🤞🤞🌞🌞🌞
2017 Mid-Summers Ball
Last year I attended this mid-summers ball and found myself moved to tears and hugely inspired by the incredible work being done in Tanzania by an Irish doctor Dr. Trish Scanlon and her team. She is a paediatric oncologist and runs a cancer service in Tanzania for the last 10 years she has through her efforts ensured that cancer treatment for children is now free for all and survival rates have improved from 5% to 65% . Please click the links below to read the full background for yourself. We would urge everyone to consider supporting this more than worthy charity 'Their Lives Matter' by donating through their fb https://www.facebook.com/tumainilamaishaTZ or website https://www.wearetlm.org/ . For those of you who are in Galway and available on June 17th please consider coming out with some friends to support 'Their Lives Matter.' Tickets available on the following link. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
