Club Mission Statement:
Barna Tennis Club’s primary mission is the promotion of tennis within a friendly & welcoming environment as an enjoyable sport for all age groups within our community with consequent accruing physical, psychological and social benefits. We aim to foster tennis as an accessible, recreational and sociable as well as a competitive sport for all members of the Barna/Furbo community and to achieve this objective through encouragement and inclusiveness, promoting standards of fair play and respect at all times.

Club Information:
Club facilities include a Multi-Usage Games Area comprising 3 x polymeric surface courts shared on a time-allotted basis with other local sports clubs and 2 x tarmac courts used solely for playing tennis. A club house with toilet facilities and seating/storage area, together with ample parking spaces and outdoor seating complete Barna Tennis Club amenities.
We aspire to promoting a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages and abilities as well as providing an important social and recreational outlet for our community. Structured adult and juvenile tournaments are organised and participation in tennis activities at  interclub, county and provincial level is encouraged. We provide professional coaching schemes, both group and individual coaching, catering for all age groups and levels of play. Our fully qualified  tennis coach,   Ms. Lucy Penkova (Level 1, Tennis Ireland) is an experienced tennis coach and motivator!

Barna Tennis Club is a developing club with a steadily increasing membership in all age groups and new members are always warmly welcomed!
