Transition Year Transfers Any 3rd Year student from other schools wishing to Transfer into our Transition Year programme may now do so. Application forms are available at our school office. Once we receive a good report from your former school you will be given an offer of acceptance with a brief period of time to accept the place. Transition Year is mandatory in Coláiste Mhuirlinne as we wish for our students to avail of the advantages offered by this programme of study and which other well established schools utilise for the benefit of their students. Having the opportunity to study all the science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology along with languages and Business etc. gives students the best opportunities possible to make the right subject choices for their Leaving Certificate and gain extra points. Students who complete Transition Year receive on average 45/50 points more in their Leaving Certificate, are a year wiser and make better decisions regarding their 3rd Level courses. John Cleary, Principal.

Dear Parents/Guardians, Just a note that after our first round of offers in December and then offering to those on our waiting list, who often have taken other schools' places by then, we are in a position to offer 5 places for 1st Year. Please download an application form on our website www.merlincollege.ie or visit and collect an application form if you have a child in 6th class. These positions will fill in a number of days so time is of the essence, Regards, John Cleary, Principal.
