Description
The Abbey Church Restoration Appeal was set up in October 2015 to raise €150,000 for extensive internal repairs to the Abbey Church, Francis Street, Galway This page is set up to promote all events and activities that will help The Abbey Church Galway to raise necessary funds so that essential internal improvements and repairs can be carried out, hopefully starting in late 2015.
Donations can be made by cash, cheque, online banking or standing order.
First event will be the 'Cabaret by the Bay' concert on Wed 3 December in the Salthill Hotel.

Michael English Concert next Thursday 29 September. Our final fundraiser will be a 'Michael English Concert with special guest Johnny Carroll' on Thursday 29 September at 8pm in the Salthill Hotel. Michael English has risen to become one of the Ireland’s top country music stars since forming his own band in 2014. He has been going down a storm ever since on the Irish and UK dancing scenes and was recently awarded “Best Country Dance Band” at the ICMAs. An accomplished musician & songwriter, the good looking Kildare native is now renowned on the circuit for his energetic performances leaving the crowds wanting more. Michael’s current album “Dance all Night” has been phenomenally successful and he is working on a follow on album for release later this year which will feature all this current hits like "Tuam Beat" and “Take me Home” along with some new material. €25 tickets are now on sale from the Abbey Office,

The Abbey Church - Night at the Dogs coming soon! As part of ongoing fundraising for our restoration project we are having a 'Night at the Dogs' in the Galway Greyhound Stadium on Saturday 30 July. Tickets are €20 and are now on sale in the Abbey Church office, Des Kavanagh Electrical, Jaycee Print and Tom Dempsey Flooring Oranmore. Please support our fun night out if you can.
