Dr. Malie Coyne
Description
Clinical Psychologist & Radio Presenter Based on my clinical work with children and their parents, my aim is to reflect on commonalities in child and parent issues in an accessible way to a wider audience of parents. I do this through writing newspaper and internet articles, my fortnightly parenting slot on Clare FM, and presenting various workshops.
My experience also derives from being a mum to my two daughters, aged 4 and 2, who challenge and teach me things I never realized everyday...
I hope that you will be able to benefit from some of my thoughts and that this will add to your understanding of your children and impact positively on your interactions with them.
I welcome any suggestions / invitations for topics on future articles or media interviews. I am happy to present workshops on any aspect of parenting or child development.
I am known for my honesty and "telling it like it is" approach, in that I I say what I see but in a respectful way, as parenting is definitely the hardest and yet most enjoyable job in the world!
