An overheating laptop will permanently damage it and make it unrepairable. This time of year is chronic for overheating issues. There is no economical fix for the damaged caused but it can be easily prevented by having it serviced. Internal fan needs to be accessed and clean and thermal paste needs to be renewed to provide proper cooling of the system.
