38 years ago author Thomas Harris released Red Dragon and introduced the world to a certain Hannibal Lecter. Tomorrow sees the release of Harris's first book in 13 years and his first non Lecter novel since Black Sunday in 1975. Cari Mora is "a novel of greed and the consequences of dark obsession" To celebrate the release of the book we'll be giving away a copy to a lucky customer. Just Like and Share and tell us what you're currently reading. We'll announce the winner on Friday 24th. Also included is a nice photo of Brian Cox, the definitive Lecter.

Ladies and Gentlemen please be upstanding for Ben Kane and his latest (soon to be) Bestseller The Falling Sword. It's the second in The Clash of Empires series following on from last year's first installment. Ben was born in Kenya, before his family moved to Ireland when he was 7. He went to school in St. Mary's College, here in Dundalk, and went on to study veterinary medicine at UCD, and after a few years travelling the world, settled to life as a veterinary surgeon in Northumberland, where a love of history and the sight of Hadrian's Wall on his daily commute, reignited a love of history and a career in writing began. Becoming a full time writer in 2009, Ben now has 12 novels under his balteus (sounds rude, it isn't, honestly). The Falling Sword is his 13th book and if you like your fiction historical, why not give The Clash of Empires series a go, and celebrate "one of our own". The Falling sword is published by Orion Books and is available now.
