Description
Mounttown Community Facility provides a venue for sporting, educational, social, cultural and recreational activities for the surrounding area communities. The Mounttown Community Facility is now in its sixth year of operation. The number of people and groups using our facility in 2014 was 67,222 and this year, 2015, promises to be a very exciting one with many new activities hosted at the facility such as Chess Club, Bonzai Club etc. This increase in activity presents challenges to the team in ensuring that the facility is maintained and operates to the highest standards of cleanliness comfort and safety.
Our team objective is to promote and operate the community facility for the community of Mounttown, Sallynoggin, Glenageary, Dún Laoghaire and Monkstown area with a view to promoting the economic, social and cultural welfare of that area. To provide affordable accommodation for public and private meetings, exhibitions, sporting events, lectures, dances, clubs, counseling, training, recreational activities for the local community and disadvantaged and special needs groups.
Activities include Boxing, Homework Clubs, Rugby Tots, Bridge; Irish, Hip Hop, Salsa and Latin Dancing,Music lessons, Bingo, Computer Training, Youth Activities, Age Action First Aid, Garda Clinic, Yoga, Karate, Elocution, Young Mothers - Infant Matters, After School groups, Play & Music for toddlers, Fitness for Parents, Spanish Language tuition, young traveller mothers group, Junior & Leaving Cert. grinds, Chess, Bonzai Trees, creative writing etc. etc.
We have a small coffee dock open from 0900- 1600 ,where you can enjoy, Tea, coffee and snacks, breakfast and lunch. Daily Specials Available
