A message from our Cruise Product Manager – Astrid Bell I have always wondered how a ship is built and I was very privileged to see this for myself last week when MSC Cruises invited me to attend a very special event in Monfalcone shipyard in Italy. I had the amazing opportunity to go on a behind the scenes tour of MSC Seaside, one of the things that struck me was the amount of people involved in bringing a ship to life – 5000, WOW. After all that excitement I then attended a VIP float-out ceremony of sister ship to MSC Seaside - MSC Seaview. This was the first time the ship would be touching the water since construction began so it was a momentous occasion. We are very excited here in American Holiday as MSC Seaside will be sailing year round to the Caribbean from Miami in 2018 and we can’t wait to have passengers on board. MSC Seaside known as the ship that follows the sun and I am looking forward to stepping back on board very soon!
