Description
South Dublin Badminton club is based in Terenure Badminton Centre. It is a club suitable for all levels of badminton players. South Dublin Badminton Club is now just over three years old.
We play out of Terenure Badminton Centre, Whitehall Road every Tuesday evening from 8 pm to 11pm on courts 3 and 4 and on Sunday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm on courts 1 through 6. We also play out of Roadstone Sports Hall on Mondays 8-11 pm on 5 courts.
The Tuesday night session is aimed at beginner badminton players and those players who wish to compete in Division 8 to 10 of the Dublin and District League
Mark Topping, Daragh Higgins and Ken Edgeworth are fully qualified Badminton Ireland Level 2 and Level 1 coaches and regularly coach on Tuesday nights.

All levels of player attend on Sundays and Mondays where the focus is on doubles matches rather than coaching.

Also a huge thank you to the umpires who bring such professionalism to the nights of badminton. Wow great night of badminton. Our first defeat in the league since we joined the Badminton Premier League last season. Congratulations to the Pembroke Panthers on their thoroughly deserved win. A huge thank you to all the Spartans supporters, it's great to hear you all cheering us on. Once again a big thank you to the umpires for running the games professionally. Also to the hard working BPL committee for organising the nights and the league, a huge thank you😀😀😀👏👏👏

Some great badminton played on Saturday night in Baldoyle! Well done to the Div 3 mixed team for getting runners up medal in the cup. Unfortunately couldn't take the winners trophy but great achievement to reach the final. Well played KADCA BC. An outstanding performance from our Div 1 mixed team vs Mt. Pleasant resulted in South Dublin's first ever Dublin & District title. Good job guys! Thank you to the members who came to support both teams and a big thanks to all the organizers, umpires etc who make these events run smoothly and professionally.
