The first event for 2017 - the long established Valentine’s Tournament started last Sunday with the finals taking place on Sunday 19th February. This is a Golf Croquet event, no hanging around in the cold. Starting at 11am sharp with a shared lunch around 1pm. You don’t have to play every Sunday but you will need to play a minimum number of games to have a chance of winning! Good luck everyone! ❤️

The Halloween Bank Holiday Croquet Handicap Doubles GC competition dutifully took place on Sunday 30th October 2016. Six teams were assembled, with stronger players teamed up with weaker players. It was a gloriously sunny and warm afternoon, which lasted from 1100 till 1700 hours. The overall winning pair were Sylvia Briggs and Claire Allwright, here being congratulated by Croquet President Sandy Grieg.

Last few days to enter the Turkey Tournament 2016 - Handicap Golf Croquet and Association Croquet will run over 7 Sundays from 6.11.16 to 18.12.16 with Prize Giving and the Christmas Lunch after the finals on Sunday 18th December 2016. It is worth noting that you do not have to commit to play on all of the 7 Sundays. Entry closes Thursday 3rd November.

There will be a Croquet MS Charity Lunch & Games from 10.00am on November 10th (€15 per person)

The CAI win the Vera McWeeney Trophy, beating the CA 14-10. Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis club played host to the annual contest between the Croquet Association and the Croquet Association of Ireland for the McWeeney Trophy on August 20-21st. The CA team travelled across the Irish Sea looking forward to trying to win back the trophy in weather conditions that varied between howling gale and pleasant sunshine.
