In this picture, a patient presented with pain in both knees, stating that the right knee was worse than the left. The picture #1 (on the left) clearly shows that the blood supply to both knees is quite uneven, with confirmation being shown that the right knee is, in fact, worse than the left. Distal Needle Acupuncture was performed, needles were retained for 40 mins, and picture #2 (on the right) was taken 55 mins after the initial photo. This picture visibly shows an increase and more of an even spread of temperature around the knees, which signifies an increase in blood flow to the area.
