ok, so it's been a tough couple of months, crocheting, dressmaking, having fun (too much fun sometimes.. can you have too much fun?) certainly, Me Mimi has been too busy to remind everyone how much fun crocheting and dressmaking are... am setting up an Instagram page, so it'll be MUCH easier for you to see what I've been up to!
Six (or seven if you don't want lunch) hours of dressmaking fun. Working on your own LBD (Little Black Dress)... sizing your pattern correctly, pinning, marking, cutting and, totally possible within 6 hours, sewing up your own personally fitted LBD... just in time for those important evening soirees.... Dressmaking classes in Rathmines College on Tuesday evenings going ahead.. Whoop! Will be giving two classes, one for beginners 6-7:30pm then experienced from 7:30-9pm... It's the best of fun.. looking forward... Excited! (Oh, if you'd like to enrol, this is our last night for enrolments 6-8 in Rathmines College... get your skates on!)
Been well busy, dressmaking AND crocheting AND making up new flyers for my classes... wha ja tink?
Come and learn to crochet... upstairs in the Constant Knitter (88 Francis Street)..... Crochet is so much faster and more satistying that knitting... and .... the Constant Knitter has the most amazingly beautiful selection of wools on this little island.... and because crochet so quick, your work builds up and amazes even you... it's relaxing, satisfying and creative.... what's not to love?
I've already started! Can't wait to show everyone my progress. Vintage Vogue 1957 dress.... pattern cut, tailor tacks in, stitching lines marked.... stay stitching, tacking and first fitting tomorrow...
It's here... again! Time to start Dressmaking class. Upstairs in the Constant Knitter on Francis every Wednesday. Afternoons from 1pm to 3pm and in the evening 6pm to 8pm. Delighted to say lots of interest in both classes! Really looking forward to having some serious dressmaking fun!
More exciting news... Sewing classes and Crochet classes will resume on Wed 5th and Thursday 6th Apirl in The Constant Knitter on Francis Street. We got so much great work done, A-Line skirts made, cardigans, hats, circles and squres crocheted... it's been busy! Class sizes are very small (no more tha 6), you get full attention, help and support, use of equipment and a cuppa tea (ahhh.. the cuppa tea...)... we've even been know to have a right ol' laugh! PM me if you're intersted in joining us....
Exciting... got me some gorge linen for my "good" skirt... Drafted my own pattern... Oooh really hope we get some warm weather when I can show it off.... mmmmm
