A Proportional Perspective of the World's Native Languages
This fascinating infographic by Alberto Lucas López shows how 23 of the world’s mother tongues are proportioned, and how they’re distributed around the globe. Of the 7,102 languages around today, a mere 23 of them are the mother tongue of 50 million people or more. These select languages are spoken by a total of 4.1 billion people. http://io9.gizmodo.com/a-proportional-perspective-of-the-worlds-spoken-languag-1710032349?utm_medium=sharefromsite&utm_source=io9_facebook

To create such an environment is a pedagogic imperative, whatever methodology or theory of L2 learning one espouses. https://gianfrancoconti.wordpress.com/2017/05/14/how-to-boost-your-students-vocabulary-whilst-creating-a-positive-learning-environment-with-minimal-preparation/
