There is a historical bond between the Mexican and Irish that everyone should know. The valiant St. Patrick's Battalion ("Los San Patricios") gave their lives for México and that's why St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in parts of México. This bond is deepened through mariachi music performed in Ireland by Mariachi San Patricio... This connection is also the inspiration for our latest beer, Underdog Lager. So it is fitting we are launching this new brew at Quitapenas: Sat 10th of June / Tara Building & Sin E / Get tickets now :), to the sounds of Mariachi San Patricio - Ireland's only Mariachi band.

Incredible line up of Ireland's premier selectors and musicians playing Afrobeat, Dancehall, Samba, Bossa Nova, Reggae and Tropicália to name but a few! This week's featured restaurant is one of our favourite pizza and brunch spots; The Revolution - Rathgar. Drawing inspiration from American and European cuisine, the Revolution offers an eclectic menu suited for all culinary pallets. Some of our favourites off the menu? We're loving the Locale Pizza, which starts with the house made tomato sauce base, toonsbridge dairy mozzarella, roasted chicken, caramelized onions, ricotta, topped with rocket leaves, parmesan and lemon zest. Hope Passifyoucan Blonde Ale pairs really well as the fresh zesty lemon notes from beer highlight similar taste profile in the pizza. We're also diggin' the Beer Battered Fish Tacos which go down a treat with our Summer Session IPA. The mango and tomato salsa that tops the battered cod compliments the tropical aromas and flavours from the beer perfectly... Delish. If you haven't already been, you need to check these guys out!
