Wednesday HUMOUR 🤣🍷❤️

It's all about quality! For the majority of my Introduction to Wine Tastings I show a Rioja Reserva--this allows me a chance to talk about the grape varieties allowed in a Rioja wine, production methods, ageing and DOC quality levels and labelling. LOTS of people aren't aware that the main grapes in Rioja are Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha & Mazuelo and even white grapes are allowed! Quite often people think that Rioja is a grape. It's not it is a wine region in Spain. How are you to know - I thought the same until I studied wine! The last time I showed this particular wine Beronia Rioja Reserva it was only OK - but the previoys two times before that it was delicious. For research of course 😜 I opened another bottle to try it again it was again just only OK. Sometimes wine does that it can change and evolve and that's normal. I want anyone attending my events to have a superb experience. Because I am Independent I do NOT use any wines that I feel aren't up to a certain standard I won't be using this wine for my next events even though I bought in bulk to get a discount. I will however continue to enjoy it at home 😂❤️👌🍷 it's just at the moment not showing as well as it should. There are lots of other options I can choose from two other great Rioja Reserva I Love and that show really well are Coto de Imaz or Marques de Murrieta. Having said all that I ADORE Beronias Elaboration Especial wine which I showed at a hen last week and it went down a treat. Have you got a favourite Rioja I'd love to hear? One of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received was this solid walnut cheese board shaped like cheese and a solid silver mouse knife. It's 9 years old I only use it when I'm on my own enjoying cheese and vino by myself. It's not that often I get the opportunity to be all alone and savour these delicious moments.
