Why September will be a watershed moment in Irish education

It is great to see that student's well-being will be given more attention in schools. There is a growing body of research showing that when student's well-being is looked after their academic outcomes are much more successful. "For the first time, in September, a new subject area called wellbeing will become a central part of the student experience for first, second and third years, as part of junior cycle reforms."

Wellbeing in Schools: Promoting Good Mental Health | School House Magazine

Good health and wellbeing is essential for successful learning. Mindfulness training gives students tools to help remain calm and sustain their attention. It also helps to cope with depression and anxiety. I deliver taster classes for teachers, students and parents.
