Bring a friend, family member or anyone you know who might like to come along for the night. We would love to see some old members make a come back or just have a bigger audience to practice what we do best. It promises to be a great line-up and not a bad way to spend a Tuesday night. Spread the word.

January 31st Meeting
We had another great meet-up on Tuesday. Plenty of laughs and some great answers from the floor during the topics session. Remember our OPEN NIGHT coming up on 28th February. Spread the word, maybe bring a friend or family member for a bit of fun. Guests do not have to speak and are always very welcome

Preparation may be the difference between a good speech and a great speech. Put the hard work in now to ensure you're not left standing in the rain 😉😅. You can do this!! 👊

Here's to another great year of entertainment and learning.
Happy New Year to all our members and guests, we are looking forward to seeing you all back tomorrow night, Tuesday 3rd January 2017 for more entertainment and learning. As we close the door on 2016 we open up a whole new world of opportunities and possibilities for 2017. Lets take those daunting first steps together when we start back tomorrow night and face our fears in the company of like-minded people. Here's a reminder of how it felt on those first few visits, in the words of one of our members...... TOASTMASTERS As I walked towards the door I almost turned around and fled But I told my fear to settle down and went through the door instead I slipped inside and safely took my seat right down the back And experienced every symptom of a full on heart attack. I knew nothing of Toastmasters, it was all brand new to me But as the night rolled on I thought - “this is the place to be” From the start I felt welcome and encouraged to succeed. The people here are the salt of the earth, I’m sure you will agree. The weeks went on, my confidence grew, and I began to contribute more For when you seek new horizons folks, you must lose sight of the shore I started to speak up at topics and the heart attacks have ceased I feel I’m a different person now with my new found belief So you can put away the defibrillator and you can put away the gurney For every speech that I deliver takes me further on this journey And every time I get up to speak I think of that first night How impossible it seemed to me that I could get it right I’m glad I joined Toastmasters and I’m glad I walked through that door I look forward to coming here on Tuesday nights, because who knows what’s in store So here’s to every one of you, you should be proud of who you are Were all in this together, and together, we will go far… Shay Donnelly
We had a final Toastmasters meeting of 2016 last night, and finished up in the bar at Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport. We hope all our members have a wonderful christmas and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year. Until then, we will have many opportunities over the coming weeks to practice our CC skills ;) Happy Christmas Everyone

It was an eventful evening in east coast toastmasters last night as we said goodbye to Tina, who is going home to Slovakia...but Tina also delivered her 10th speech, completing the Competent Communicator manual and won the ribbon for the best speech of the night. Congrats and farewell Tina, you will be missed by everyone here in toastmasters.
