I always get so excited to preform a first session Balayage on a blank canvas. . . Its so much fun to create the perfect blend of tones from a solid colour brown. It really lets the creativity flow. . . I used @redken #freepaint mixed with #flashlift to create the perfect creamy consistency for free hand painting. ❇️ Portfolio Day ❇️ Me and @nicole_murphy_hair took a Bridal hair bootcamp by @kasia_fortuna and @kristinagasperasacademy... One of the biggest tips we took from them was the importance of planning portfolio days. . . This upstyle I created was at mine and Nicole's first portfolio day. We had the whole day to focus on creating amazing styles on eachother. We were able to practice new techniques and had so much time to perfect them. We were able to take our time to get the perfect shots and try out hundreds of settings and camera angles. . . On the morning of a wedding or on a client in the salon there is time pressure and you automatically go back to old reliable techniques. There is not enough time on a client to practice new techniques and not enough time to spend perfecting photography skills. . . I absolutely loved this portfolio day and am so happy with the results of all the new techniques I learnt from @kasia_fortuna. I am loving this Blonde transformation on @carolinebergincross ❤️❤️ . . We done this transformation using all @redken products. We started with a full head of Highlights using #flashlift lightner with #phbonder added inside. I left some of her natural hair inbetween the highlights to create a natural lowlight which will not wash up warm. Her hair lifted so perfectly so we didnt need a toner, we finished off with part 2 of the ph bonder and shampooed and conditioned with #blondage purple shampoo and conditioner . . To style we used #oneunitedspray to add protein and moisture to the hair before brushing with my @mantahair brush. Im obsessing over these Extensions on @sarahknight2802 ❤️❤️ . . We applied 2 packs of @platinumhairextensions to add some thickness for Sarah. We done one pack of Blonde #18 and one pack of brown #2B for the perfect balayage blend. Not only did she get added thickness and hold but it also completely refreshed the balayage without having to lighten her ends. . . Sarah is getting married next year and we wanted to test out the extensions to see how she likes them before her big day.
