TidyTowns is a great way for civic spirited people in Drogheda to come together, to harness their ideas and energy and to help make a real difference! Drogheda's TidyTowns committee are involved in lots of aspects of local community life ... and everyone is welcome to join us. We organise Spring and Autumn clean ups, we support Earth Hour, we help with nature and habitat projects, we support community groups with projects they want to undertake, we support arts, tourism and heritage initiatives and we work with the Council to develop policy around issues that affect quality of life in our town. TidyTowns is a great way for civic spirited people in Drogheda to come together, to harness their ideas and energy and to help make a real difference in their local community.

Drogheda is a town with such amazing potential ... Drogheda Tidy Towns is a small voluntary committee but we'd love it to be a network of small sub-committees across all the neighbourhoods of the town. If you and your neighbours, colleagues and friends have plans for your local area and would like our support please do follow us on facebook and message us. We're only a small team (so we can't work miracles) but with the support of others who care about Drogheda and some teamwork we can help make our town a lovelier place to live, work and visit.

Tune in to RTÉ Nationwide on Friday evening to see Mary Kennedy visit the Boyne Canal as part of Heritage Week 2016. She'll meet the wonderful volunteers from the Boyne Canal Restoration and Ross Kenny of Boyne Boats among others. Friday 19th August, 7.00pm, RTÉ1 TV.
