#Weekly52Resolutions Challenge 2: This week's challenge is to drink 2 litres of water every day. Being trying to make this change for quite a while but always fail to get the 2 litres per day in. Hopefully by holding myself accountable to all you I can succeed this week and carry it forward for the future. Let's do this 👊

#Weekly52Resolutions Challenge 1 of 52 Completed. βœ… Challenge 1 was to read a book relating to the field of sport psychology. I chose to read Bounce by Matthew Syed a book which I have owned for over a year but never actually took time to read. So many lessons about practice and in particular "purposeful practice" to be taken from reading this book and the challenge has shown me the importance of continous reading and learning in your field of study/career. Will post Challenge 2 details later.

WHY RESOLUTIONS FAIL AND THE #Weekly52Resolutions Goals of losing weight, getting fit, giving up cigarettes etc are the most commonly set New years resolutions. Around 50% of people make it past the first month while the majority of people eventually drop of within 3 months of starting. These factors may be down to: - Unrealistic Goals - Trying to accomplish targets too fast - Failure to monitor progress - Lack of celebrating milestones Commencing new lifestyle changes is not just about making plans and telling people you are going to change. To succeed you need to change your behaviour towards the way you want to behave and avoid slipping into "old habits". This year I am not setting one New Years Resolution rather I have jumped on the #Weekly52Resolutions bandwagon with a few others on Twitter which means I will be setting 52 mini challenges for myself over the course of the year. Some will be more challenging than others. Challenge 1 for me is: Read a book related to the field of Sport Psychology. (I'm not one to sit down and read a book as I usually start reading a few pages then never go back to reading it so this will be quite a challenge). I encourage you all to get involved with me and use the hashtag #Weekly52Resolutions in your posts of your challenges so we can keep an eye on your progress. Post your week 1 challenges in the comments and good luck. :D

As the curtain closes on 2016 I would like to wish all my clients and followers a happy and prosperous new year. Hopefully it will bring you every success and happiness you deserve. 2016 has been a massive learning curve for me in dealing with athletes and how to help them to reach their goals, dreams and potential. I have always stated from day 1 of starting my business back in 2015 that it would take me a few years to find my feet in the industry and have found myself working and learning from athletes and coaches in different sports such as Hurling, Soccer. Cycling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and many more throughout the past 12 months. 2017 is another step on the ladder in terms of my progress and I plan on making it as successful as possible. Thank you all for your support throughout the past 12 months and hopefully you can make 2017 as successful for you as I plan on making it.
