Feedlot agents, factory agents, farmers and shippers were all in attendance and eager to purchase. Bullocks sold from €2.20/kg to €2.80/kg. Bulls sold from €2.20/kg to €2.80/kg. Heifers sold from €2.20/kg to €3.10/kg. Fat Cows sold from €600/head to €1950/head.

There was a vibrant trade for all types of cattle with farmers, agents, butchers, shippers and factory agents eager to purchase stock. Bullocks sold from €2.20/kg to €2.80/kg. Bulls sold from €2.30/kg to €2.90/kg. Heifers sold from €2.10/kg to €2.80/kg. Fat Cows sold from €600/head to €1615/head.

PHOTOS AND PRICES FROM TODAY'S SHEEP SALE MONDAY 10TH JULY 2017. There was an upsurge in trade at Raphoe Mart today with factory agents, farmers and butchers very keen to purchase stock. This was reflected by a full clearance. Prices were as follows: Store Lambs 30-42kgs sold from €34 to €67 over their weight. Factory Lambs 43-48kgs sold from €56 to €74 over their weight. Butcher Lambs >48kgs sold from €55 to €96 over their weight. Fat Ewes sold from €86 to €117 each. Ewes with two lambs sold from €166 to €182 each. Hoggets sold from €88 to €97 each.

A super trade for all types of cattle at Raphoe Mart on Thursday 6th July. Bidding was brisk for all types with quality cattle well sought after. Friesian and AA types also selling to a brisk trade. This event is run in association with ICOS Skillnet and the Irish Farmers Journal. Speakers on the night will include Jim Dockery, Farm Relief Services. This event is open to the public and we would encourage that you all make an effort to attend. Parents are encouraged to bring along their children to make them aware of the possible dangers posed by the farm environment.
