Macs quarries has been operated by the Mc Nulty family since 1948 and under Eamonn mc Nulty it continues to supply top qulity sand and stone products. Mac Quarries was started in 1948 by Edward Mc Nulty and Willie Mc Cauley, workers at this time included Willie Myles and John Vance.
In these early days customers included the Franciscan Friary in Rosnowlagh, the Mercy school and other local contractors.
During the 1950's the Quarry supplied sand and materials to the building of 12 houses in Cluain Barron, Ballyshannon. Delivery at this time was by tractor and trailor.
1952 brought further mechanism to the Quarry with the purchase of 2 Crushers, one being a lightning Hammermill from Castlerock, this enabled for the more accurate and easier crushing of stone and sand.

Through the following decades further developments in technology increased production of sand, rock and limestone, with the most recent crushers purchased able to produce 300-400 tonnes per hour and loading shovels with a capacity of a 7-9 ton lift.
