We are a family run farm based outside Convoy in Co.Donegal. We started breedin lleyns after deciding we wanted to operate a more low maintenance and low cost system. After researching many breeds we soon found that the Lleyn was an ideal ewe, quiet in nature, prolific, has great maternal instincts, milky, & will not eat you out of house and home. The Lleyn fitted nicely into our situation as its versatility suits both lowland and upland grazing. We purchased a few springing ewe lambs and were impressed with the results and later purchased more ewes from the some of top flocks in northern ireland at the pedigree show and sale in ballymena as well as Barnaby our stock ram from Seamus Killen (1621).
Please follow the links and read more on how the Lleyn could work in your flock!!
