Happy International Women's Day! "My strength is running. My confidence is running. For me to have purpose means to set a goal and work hard towards achieving that goal. I have seen that if a girl is strong she can be a good role model. I know that here and all over the world boys and girls do not have equal access to education. In the future I would like to see girls growing up in good environments, because to me, a perfect world is a world where children’s rights are adhered to. There would be no corruption and people would live in peace with each other." The #buildings where children attend the Child Sponsorship Programme and where mums and babies are cared for in the Child Survival Programme might be expansive or cozy, ornate or simple. But one thing is for certain, they are a loud-and-clear message to their communities that #God truly cares about the “least of these.” Our #church partners like this one in #Thailand know their #community. They know their needs. They know their children! https://www.compassion.ie/about-us/what-we-do/ #CompassionIreland #sponsorachild #childsponsorshipprogramme #childsurvivalprogramme

“Will you stand with us in prayer? Today Compassion staff are fasting and praying to see an urgent resolution, allowing us to continue our work with vulnerable babies, children and young adults across India. Stand with us in prayer for: • Protection over all of the children living in poverty in India, including the remaining 130,000 children in our programme. • Conversations to continue within the India government. That they will find favour in us and that their hearts will be moved for the children in our programme. • Our South India and East India staff as they enter into this season of uncertainty.”
