Event format Submission only event, each weight class will have 2 groups with round robin format, group winners meet in the finals for the first and second place medals, there's no losers final or bronze medals at this event Winning by submission awards 3points Time limit of 5mins per fight, 1 point will be awarded to both competitors on reaching the time limit In the event of a points tie the more dominant fighter will be declared the winner of the group or final Registration is €40 before the 30th of July, All competitors registered before 30th of July receive an event rashguard, registration after the 30th of July including the day of competition is €20, this is excluding the event rashguard! FM BJJ is now recruiting for its MMA team. If you are interested in joining our team this course is ideal for getting started. Whether you have experience in martial arts or you are a complete beginner, this course will introduce you to all the martial arts required for MMA. The course will cover Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, Wrestling and the skill of blending them all together. The course will run 3 nights a week for 6 weeks. Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm with the option of a third class from our timetable. The course will be ran by 3rd degree black belt Felipe Martins with amateur fighter and blue belt Ben Judge. After completing the course you will have the option of joining our competition team. Price of the course is 80euro and you will receive your own pair of MMA gloves. It will be held in our city centre location on Penrose Quay.
