Brian Dillons Hurling & Gaelic football Club is located at the Tank Field in Murmont in the north side of Cork, Ireland. The clubhouse was originally located at "the Hole in the Wall" in Dillons Cross. It is one of the oldest GAA clubs in the city of Cork. The club also has playing pitches and dressing rooms at Lisnahorna, Whites Cross.The club is named after Brian Dillon, a leader of the Fenian organisation.HonoursThe club had success in the City Division Championship Junior A Football in 1998 and 1991. Dillons have won 6 Junior A Seandun titles in Gaelic Football. In 1998 they were beaten in the semi final of the County Championship by Newmarket after a replay. Incidentally Newmarket went on to win the Cork Junior Football Championship title subsequently. In the quarter final, Dillons overcame Adrigole, the Beara representatives, also after a replay. Adrigole fielded Cork senior Brendan Jer O'Sullivan and former Cork underage full back John O'Shea.In hurling, the Club was beaten finalists in 2004 & 2005, but defeated their great rivals Mayfield in the 2006 final on 27 August 2006, by a scoreline of Brian Dillons 1-13, Mayfield 0-11. This was their 6th Championship title, and their first for 38 years. On 9 September 2012 Brian Dillons defeated their great rivals again by the score line of 1-14 to 1-10. This was Dillons 7th championship title first since 2006.
