"Spending my life uncomfortable has made me comfortable".. This was something i wrote in my journal the other day. It was actually somewhat of an epihany for me. WHY? because being full of creative nonsense which is what i am, its how i direct it that makes sense! I thought my path was to follow the path out there. The one that was already made... Realising i had spent my life uncomfortable and what that meant to me at the time was worrying about when the money was coming in, thinking it was time to go and "get that job" feeling like it was time to give up. Worrying if this uncomfortable path i was taking was in fact going to make me finally comfortable, at some point in my life. Being uncomfortable for all those years made me into a better person, WHY! because it allowed the Caroline that was hiding away, to come out and play. She stopped focusing on what she couldn't control or what she thought was going to make everyone else happy and started to make herself happy and create from a place that was her own. Being uncomfortable, feeling like i was not in control of my destiny and become the writer of my own story felt shit... then i woke up one morning and realised that all the uncomfortable allowed me to stop apologising, get out of my own way and make shit happen. Don't ever get caught up in the "normal" way of doing things, it doesn't fulfil that burning desire you have buried deep inside that you know is where you are supposed to be. Be uncomfortable to be comfortable... Light yourself on fire with passion and people will come for miles to watch you burn!! Be the writer of your story, tell it well, tell it with passion and be YOU! Sometimes i pinch myself at the insane people/women who have come into my life over the last year who wear our fashion with confidence and who i blessed to be able to mentor in their business, and thats just the last year! All of this because i decided that being uncomfortable has actually being one of the most comfortable things i have been and are everyday!
