Cork Malaysian Student Association (Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia Cork) is a society that governs the Malaysian students studying in University College Cork. Our main basis is to bring about the sense of family and home here in Cork among our students and the community in general. We also support issues regarding student welfare and are responsible in setting up events throughout the year. On top of that, we are absolutely delighted to promote the Malaysian culture through any medium in hopes of making UCC a home for our students.

Alhamdulillah, It's Jumaah again! Let us ponder upon two hadiths narrated by Aisha RA: 1. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ وَمَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُ O Aisha, Allah is gentle and He loves gentleness, and He rewards for gentleness what is not granted for harshness, and He does not reward anything else like it. [Sahih Muslim 2593] 2. Aisha reported: I was upon a camel which was misbehaving so I began to strike it, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَا يَكُونُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ You must be gentle. Verily, gentleness is not in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it. [Musnad Ahmad 24417] May Allah gives us the strength to practice the goodness that been taught to us. Alhamdulillah, It's Friday! Let us all increase our good deeds and prayers on this day because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said narrated by Abu Hurairah: "On (the day of) Friday is an hour during which Allah gives to a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for.”[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. And he (ﷺ) also said: "Charity given during the day of Jumu'ah is greater (in reward) than any other day."

✨★ ★ It's Jumuah✨★★ Abu Ad-Darda reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْف عُصِمَ مِنْ الدَّجَّالِ "Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surat al-Kahf will be protected from Ad-dajjal" In his Mustadrak, Al-Hakim recorded from Abu Sa’eed that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ أَضَاءَ لَهُ مِنَ النُّورِ مَا بَيْنَ الْجُمُعَتَيْنِ "Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on the day of Friday will have a light for him between this Friday and the next." So let us not miss this blessed opportunity! #readkahfi

Mock OSCE for Third Year Medical Students
In preparation for the OSCE exam, PPMC held a mock Osce for the third year medical students. Most of the seniors acted as examiners while some, with the help of our beloved juniors, acted as sick patients.
