Congratulations to Simon Meehan, tonight named BT Young Scientist for 2018. Simon attends Colaiste Choilm in Ballincollig, Cork. His project was entitled “Investigation into the Antimicrobial effects of both aerial & root parts of selected plants against Staphylococcus aureus.” Simon carried out some of his analysis in the School of Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry section) at UCC under the guidance of Dr. Eric Moore and Dr. Anna Hogan. #BTYSE @BTYSTE

Congratulations to Dr. Colm O’Dwyer, second place winner of this year's Nokia Bell Labs Prize.
