Hi folks. I recieved this picture from one of our followers who's sister left their charger plugged in overnight (not connected to a phone) and awoke the next morning to this. This lady was VERY LUCKY in this incidence. Only buy genuine chargers! These type of pictures have been doing the rounds on social media for some time now so its a fairly common thing. Best to always plug out all chargers when not in use or at least isolate the power with the sockets on/off switch. Where and when possible, charge phones while you are awake to avoid leaving them plugged in while you sleep. Todays phones can normally be fully charged from 1-3 hours max, so having one plugged in for an 8 hour overnight is only increasing the chances of over heating and a potential fire. Try getting into the habit of charging your phone before going to bed. Stay safe 🚒

Hi folks. This picture was taken on a recent trip to Lourds by Vinnie Savage, who works in the admin side of the service. Pictured is one of our Tipperary Fire Service caps, placed at an alter, as an offering to remember all firefighters, officers and staff members in their prayers. Since the formation of The North Tipperary Branch of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust 32 years ago, Vinnie has been travelling to Lourds with group 165 as a helper/leader to the children they bring over. The placing of items like above is a yearly tradition. These trips are made possible through fundraising events with all proceeds used to fund the flights and accommodation of the children. All helpers/leaders do not benefit from the money raised, instead they pay all their own expenses. This year the Trust is holding its 25th Annual Golf Classic on the 23rd of June in the Nenagh Golf Course. If anyone is interested in partaking, donating or looking for further information about the trip in general you can contact Vinnie directly on 087-6672666 Well done to Vinnie and all involved and thank you for the gesture of remembering all our colleagues 👏👏

Today marks the annual feast day of St.Florian, the patron saint of firefighters and also Internaltional Firefighters Day. A simple message but with huge appreciation, thank you to all the firefighters currently serving worldwide, to all those before us and to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for others 🚒🚒🚒
