#Cavan2016 A First for Cavan County Council who awarded five Gaeltacht Scholarships to secondary school pupils in 2016 ‘Beatha teanga í a labhairt’ There is no better way to help a language thrive than to speak it! Cavan County Council through its Library Service awarded Gaeltacht scholarships to secondary school pupils as part of an Irish language initiative. The recipients were: Coláiste na bhFiann: Suzanne Cusack, St. Clare’s College, Ballyjamesduff, Edel Mc Govern, St Mogue’s College, Bawnboy, Ben Rudden, Breifne College, Cavan, Cian Ó Riain, Pobalscoil Coill an Chollaigh, Bailieborough, Killian Brady, Breifne College, Cavan. Cavan County Council acknowledges, with thanks, the continued support of Coláiste na bhFiann for the scheme and wishes all the winners the very best in their studies going forward.
