First Choice Credit Union is your local, loyal and friendly Credit Union with locations in Castlebar, Balla, Ballyhaunis & Achill. We pride ourselves on providing our members with a 1st class financial services & playing our part in the community. It is with pride that we can look back on the last 50 years and the contribution that Credit Union has made to the economic life of Castlebar and surrounding areas, and also the difference it has made to the personal lives of its members. A movement built on trust, confidentiality, co-operation, equality and fairness, providing a service in the best possible way and at the most reasonable cost so that the members are the people that gain.
The level of commitment and dedication of our volunteers down through the years have a fine example in founding member, Jack Loftus, who continues as a Director and presently Treasurer. We are truly grateful to all our volunteers over the years on Boards and Committees for their time & input into our success.
This success is reflected in members shares of €116 million, Assets of €136 million, and growing. We always encourage our members to both save and borrow from our Credit Union where service comes first and value for money for both loans and savings is a priority for our members.
