VO2 Fitness & Nutrition is a newly refurbished gym and studio operating under new ownership in the grounds of Fernhill Golf Club & Hotel. Descriptions of classes
Spinning = High intensity cardio class on stationary bikes.
Burn high calories and improve cardio fitness > 1hr.
Begin to spin = Spinning for beginners to learn the basics of this high energy class. High intensity but half the time > 30mins.
TRX = Suspension training, where you use your own body weight to more though a series of different exercises to work the entire body. very good for core workout >45mins.
Kettle bells = Kettle bells are a weight with one big handle. we guide we guide you through a series of cardio and resistance exercises to work the whole body. very good for toning > 45mins.
Cardio pump = A weights class using barbells of different weights to suite each individual person. This is made with high intensity cardio mores. This class is good for strength of joints and muscles and all over body toning > 1hr .

Hey all . This is sadly a pretty black day for V02 fitness as the landlord has closed me down , illegally and without the required notice . So all I can do is apologise for this and tell you all that I have tried all avenues to stay open in Fernhill . However I am looking for a new premises as we speak and I hope to be up and running again as soon as possible . I will keep you posted on Facebook and we will still keep our posts going and try to keep you guys motivated . I have loved my time at V02 and its not something I am willing to give up easily as I have met so many great people and it has become a community / family spirit in the gym . So please hang on to your memberships and we will obviously extend for time lost . Again I am sorry but all I can say for now is " we are down but definitely not out 👊. Dan

Autumn is here & so is Halloween🎃🎃 Time to wrap up nice & warm & see all the lovely fall colours 🍂low sunrises 🌅& dancing leaves 🍁🍂 Why not try this healthy nutritional Pumpkin Soup: Ingredients : 1 potato 3 carrots 1 red kuri squash (small pumpkin) salt bay leaves olive oil 100g red lentils 2 litres of water sage thumb sized piece of ginger toasted almond flakes and and chili flakes to garnish Recipe: Chop your veg into similar sized chunks so they cook at the same speed. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to your pot and add your veg, also add 2 teaspoons of salt and 2 bay leaves. Let them sweat for 7- 8 minutes then add 100g of red lentils and 2 litres of water. Let this boil for 20 minutes and add 1 grated thumb sized piece of ginger and a few chopped sage leaves. Cook for another few minutes and then it’s ready to blend. Add some toasted flaked almonds and chili flakes to the top to give it a real kick! Why not make a nice Halloween decoration out of your pumpkin 🎃 Enjoy!
