The Play and Education Emporium is an indoor play centre and preschool. Welcome to The Play and Education Emporium
Here at The Emporium, we offer an excellent indoor play service to children aged between 0-12, along with a range of other services.
Formerly known as the KidsZone, we are located in Market Square, Tullow, Co. Carlow.
We have just recently taken over the business and have great plans to transform it into a play and educational centre, catering for the holistic needs of children's learning, where the whole community can take part and enjoy the facilities.
We are still in the process of developing our dream so in the meantime, we really appreciate your patience until we reach this goal!
We have many services available to children and parents;
** Walk-in unlimited play. No booking required!! We have two large climbing frames, 4 huge slides, ball pits, indoor bike track, a football pitch, air hockey table, seating area and much more...
** We have a small Café currently offering Tea/coffee and snacks. We can also offer a hot food menu sourced from a local Pizza place. (We are currently in the process of developing a bazaar-style sweet shop with healthy snacks as an option also).
** Themed parties in your very own private room. (our party room in currently being refurbished so please enquire within if you have any queries). We have a number of great party packages for you to choose from so please ring or email a member of staff and we can send you a copy of our Party Information Pack.... Prices start at 8euro per child!
**Weekly classes for children of all ages -
Arts & Crafts, Science Music & Drama, just to name a few..
**We would love to start a weekly Parent-and-Toddler Group where parents and children in the community could meet and chat to like-minded people, while the children enjoy endless fun on our equipment. We would also like to invite leaders of the local La Leche League, or similar, to host their group meeting in our building. Please contact us if you see this as an option.
**in September 2017, we will be converting the mezzanine level of the building into a preschool accepting children who are availing of the ECCE Scheme. Our teachers will be qualified to degree standard and will have a curriculum designed around the developmental needs of your child. Again, please contact us for more information.

When does your child turn 3? There are 3 entry points onto the ECCE Scheme.. - September - January - April We will be accepting children at all of these points in 2017/2018 so sign up now!! Alternatively if your child is younger than 3 they can still join our Preschool in September with a discounted rate if you plan to sign up to the ECCE with us.

Here is a calender for you to check when your child is eligible to sign up for the ECCE Scheme, which is a government funded scheme that entitles your child to free preschool education up until they reach primary school age. There will be three entry points for children to start The Play and Education Preschool - September 2017, January 2018 and April 2018 - depending on when they turn three years old. If you would like your child to start earlier, we do offer private places also with a discount if you intend on signing up for the ECCE Scheme later in the year. Hi everyone. We would like to let you know that we are changing our opening hours to; Wednesday to Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 12-6 and we will no longer be opening on Tuesdays. This is only during the children's school term time. If you have any special party requirements, please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate you. Thank you! Zoe and Stefan.
We would like to inform you all that our weekly toddler morning will not start again until April/May time. I will be on placement for college in the mornings and unable to hold the toddler mornings. We will keep you updated on when it is starting again. Thank you!!
