The Club colours are white with blue trims and a blue sash.  A Brief History of Carlow Town Hurling Club;
Hurling has been played in Carlow Town as far back as the early 19th century. A hurling team from the Town- then under the name of The Pearses – won the Senior Hurling Championship in 1961 and 1963 and were beaten in a replayed final in 1965. That club went out of existence in 1968 and a new club was reformed under the name Carlow Town Hurling Club. Among the people who were there for the reformation was present Registrar, Dick Roche who has done Trojan work for the Club ever since. Others on the Committee were Pat Mc Carthy who was the first Chairman; Liam O Boyle was the first Secretary; the committee comprised of Jimmy Phelan, R.I.P.; Charlie Byrne and Michael Corr.
The Club slowly built up from the Juvenile Section and in 1974 they won the first Under 16 Championship. After failing in the Minor Championship finals of 1973 and ’74 it was third time lucky for the minors when they won in 1975 for the first time beating St. Mullins on a score of 55 to 2-9.
In 1976 Carlow Town won their first Under 21 Hurling Championship by beating St Mullins in a replayed Final. The first match finished 2-8 a piece. In the replay Carlow Town won an excellent game on a score of 2-5 to 1-6.
In 1977 Carlow Town won its first Senior hurling Championship since its reformation defeating St. Finian’s by 2-7 to 1-7. The panel were Mick Behan, Richie Moore, Mick Delaney, Eamon Ellis, John Nolan, Tom Walsh, Don Walker, Paul O Mahony, Tommy Corcoran, Eamon Fitzpatrick, Pat Curran, Ollie Mullins (Capt), Paddy Mullins, John Delaney, Mick Power.

Mentors were Corkmen Dan Harneady and Dick Roche; Jim Kenny, Tipperary; Donegal man Pat O Brien and last but not least Jimmy Phelan, former Kilkenny hurler who scored 2 goals and a point in the Thunder and Lightning 1939 All Ireland Final when Kilkenny beat Cork.
To cap of a great year the under 21 team also won the title in 1977.
Those five titles between 1974 and 1977 inclusive were the foundation stones on which further victories down through the years were built and it set up Carlow Town as a Club with a strong hurling history and hopefully many more titles in the years ahead.
At present Carlow Town have registered a Senior (having won the Intermediate title after being regraded the previous year), Junior; under 21 and Minor teams for 2012 including the Juvenile teams of the Club.
The Club colours are white with blue trims and a blue sash.

UNDER 12 PRESENTATION NIGHT Super night in the club tonight as our Under 12 Division 1 County Champions were presented with their County Medals. The Club also presented each player with a commemorative O’Neill’s top to mark the occasion. Thanks to Karol English for presenting the medals, Karol was a member of our last team to win the U12 div 1 title 21 years ago and imparted some encouraging words for the future. A presentation was also made to Shauna Sweeney who having hurled with this team since 4 years of age must now leave it under GAA rules and we wish Shauna continued success with her Camogie! A great evening began with a showing of the County Final on the big screen and ended with some lovely food, thanks to all who helped with this 👏 Thanks again to coaches Brian Delaney, Niall English & Niall Brennan for your efforts with this group over the past number of years. It’s awesome to have such a strong group of players coming up through the ranks. The future is bright....Bring on 2018👊⚪️🔵
