Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation relies heavily on donations from the public to help stray, abandoned, sick and injured dogs.  Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation (SKSFF) is a Hong Kong Charity, which was founded in 2014. We are a non-profit organisation that is supported by a group of volunteers and relies heavily on donations from the public and local community.

SKSFF rescue stray, abandoned, sick and injured dogs to provide them with medical care and rehabilitation. Every dog that is rescued are health checked, de-sexed, vaccinated and given flea, tick and heart worm prevention. We also try to provide any necessary treatment and emergency surgery that may be needed.

Our aim is to find these beautiful dogs, a kind and responsible adopter which can give them a loving forever home and help them have a better life. If you haven't experienced the joy of adopting a dog, now is the right time!

We currently have over 100 dogs at our Sai Kung kennel, they are all waiting for their forever homes. One of them could be perfect for you. It is so rewarding to know that a dog could have a better life because of you. Their love and gratitude will transform your life and teach you lessons about life that you never even expected.

Our meals-on-wheels program delivers food and clean water to street dogs 365 days a year. We have a small group of volunteers who personally deliver food and water to the street dogs and make sure they have shelter and warmth. We also desex, microchip and rabies vaccinate the dogs, who live happily in harmony with the local villages.

Your support can make a huge difference in the life of one or more dogs. We are very grateful for any donations and help that we receive. Any donation would be appreciated, whether it's once-off or a monthly donation.

SISI & TOBY. 🐾 Sisi (left) and her brother Toby are pictured enjoying their walk with volunteer Linda. Just look at them - so content with their tongues hanging out as they walk part of the Wilson Trail. Sisi and Toby (siblings) were found on the hillside in the New Territories when they were around 5 months old, they are now approximately 5 years old. Both dogs are friendly, calm, sweet and very good on the lead. As much as our volunteers love this duo, it's time for you to open up your heart and share your life with them. They have done more than enough time in the kennel so please give them a chance! Sisi and Toby do not have to be homed together. If you are interested in adopting Sisi and/or Toby, please email kirstenszoo@gmail.com It would be great if they could have a short break from kennel life. Interested in becoming a foster? SAI KUNG MAGAZINE. 🐾 Linda, our regular volunteer, was featured in August's edition of the Sai Kung magazine. A great read if you are thinking about volunteering with us. "I'm a regular volunteer at Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation (SKSFF). The best part about volunteering with SKSFF is when I get to spend quality time with the dogs and take them out for a long walk to give them a break from the kennel. The best way to reach the SKSFF kennels is to take a taxi but there is also the option of a 45 minute walk from Ho Chung. Around the kennels, there are a variety of different routes and trails nearby, such as the Wilson Trail, which is very popular choice for many. When turning left out of the kennels, walk down the Tai Lam Wu Road towards the pagoda with the dogs. Along the way you have the chance to see the most amazing variety of colourful butterflies and dragonflies. It is just so peaceful, a great escape with breathtaking views. With all the rain that we've had recently, you can hear the waterfalls gushing away around you. There is also a stream that flows along the back, where the water pipes got knocked by a big boulder due to the heavy rain and typhoon. Opposite the pagoda, you will notice the stream of hikers descending the set of stairs. These hikers have come from Tseung Kwan O which passes through Pak Fa Lam via the Wilson Trail. This route takes approximately 1.5-2 hours and makes a great hike for those wanting to come and walk our dogs. If you're looking for something less strenuous, head back up Tai Lam Wu Road, pass the SKSFF kennels and just beyond Tai Lam Wu village, you can listen to the next waterfall and see the small self-made streams. Near the emergency phone, there is a staircase and path where you can walk with the dogs. If you stay on the road and carry on walking to the blue bridge, you may be lucky enough to see the giant goldfish who lives alone in the water underneath the bridge. Continue walking down the hill to Ho Chung and visit Che Kung Temple, one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong. The original was built on this site in the 16th century. Don't forget to look for the abundance of fish and the large terrapins swimming in the river. This is approximately a 45 minute walk down hill from SKSFF. When you're ready to leave, continue out of Ho Chung and onto Hiram's Highway to catch a taxi. Those leaving without a dog in tow, can catch either minibus 1A, 101M, bus 92 or 792M back to Sai Kung." ADOPTION TRIAL - YOUNG PUP: TRI A favourite of everyone, this adorable little girl has gone for a homestay to see if the family "big boss dog" of 11 years will take a shine to her and then Tri can stay and have a real home. Tri is looking a little fretful tonight, new surroundings, new people and maybe missing her sister Golden... but she likes her new dinner menu! A bit of time is needed to make a happy union. Good luck little sweetie whose new name by potential adopters is Tricia, definitely sounds more feminine!
