Join us this Sunday for Christmas Eve! We will have just ONE service only at 6:30 PM with readings by all the children, lots of carols, Holy Communion, and, of course, candlelight. **PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE *NO* MORNING SERVICE**

As we enter the busy season of Advent, don't forget that we have an online signup page for reading and ushering during Sunday service, as well as providing snacks for fellowship hour. Everyone can help in their own way, just follow the link below!

KELC and St. Michaelis will have a joint garden work day on Saturday, Nov. 11, 8-11 am. Come and bring your gardening tools! If you feel like bringing a drink or finger food to share, that would be great too. We look forward to a fun and productive time working in the garden together and making it look great!

Don't forget to change your clocks back one hour tonight! We're looking forward to a fantastic Reformation Sunday worship service and field trip to Worms tomorrow. See you tomorrow for worship at 8:30 am. Don't forget that the children are singing so please be there by 8:15 for rehearsal.

Harvest Festival in Germany - this Sunday October 1! Two ways for KELC members to be involved: 1. Bring fruits of the harvest to offer at the altar during the service (see photo) - they'll later be donated to a local food pantry, along with donations from our German sister congregation at St. Michaelis. 2. Join the congregation of Kirche Mittendrin (where we hold Sunday School) for a lunch after their service at 12:30 pm in their cafeteria. All are welcome! Two great opportunities to fellowship with German congregations in our community!

If you would like to make a donation to disaster relief in Texas due to Hurricane Harvey, this is one of the best organizations to help fund. They were in right after Katrina helping Louisiana get back on its feet. They don't just talk the talk; they walk the walk. So you know your donations are going to help real people in need.

A short question for everyone: How did you find KELC? Website? Find-It Guide? Kaiserslautern American ad? Word of mouth? Recommendation from pastor of former church or LCMS office? We're trying to decide whether it makes sense to have weekly ads in the Kaiserslautern American since it's pretty expensive. Thanks for all your responses in the comments!
