I am an experienced academic and business proofreader, specialising in working with students and independent academics, worldwide, for whom English is a second language. I have a degree in Law, professional post-degree qualifications in Insurance and thirty years business experience involving a high standard of written and oral communication.  I also have experience in training, proofreading and editing others' work and have written and presented in-house training material. I am an associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and have successfully completed the industry-recognised basic proofreading course with the Publishing Training Centre.
